Snatching Defeat from the Jaws of Victory: Why Democrats will Likely Lose Again — in 2020.

I’m not a Trump fan. Nor am I a fan of the incessant attacks against him. Trump is a flawed human being. We all know this. We all are. His flaws are just more visible, and in many cases more significant, as are his strengths.

For Donald Trump, the greatest sin is not to be hated. It’s to be irrelevant. He’s not a bad man. He’s simply an narcissist — a real estate developer from Queens — who lacks the moral authority to serve as POTUS.

From May of 2017 to May of 2019, the “Trump/Russia Collusion” story generated over 500,000 stories, resulting in over 245 million interactions. (likes, comments, shares), on social media.

For over two years, Democrats, and the liberal media told the American public that Trump colluded with Russia. They were wrong. And many said they were wrong — for over two years.

The Democrat’s diversion of the country, from more pressing issues, will be a major theme for the Trump campaign in 2020.

The Democrat’s positions on “Immigration Reform”, (including calls to dismantle ICE), and the “Green New Deal” (with costs estimated at $100 trillion), have also given Trump, as Khrushchev said, the “rope to hang them with.”

And now, Democrats are attempting to engage in even more distraction, chasing “obstruction” allegations that lack legal and evidentiary support.

It’s not enough that the “Resistance” wasted over two years misleading the public on “collusion”. The new fantasy of the day, fueled by Mueller’s punt, (and undeterred by Barr’s and Rosenstein’s dismissals), is “obstruction”.

By using their public offices, to chase obstruction, Democrats are once again engaging in transparent and self-serving campaign activity (as they did with collusion), rather than addressing the country’s real and pressing needs. And in doing so, they are self-sabotaging their ability to win in 2020.

In 2016, voters concluded that the only thing worse than Trump — was HRC, and the forces that opposed Trump. When you can’t beat Donald Trump, that’s a sad commentary on the quality of your offering.

The public rejected Democrats, because Democrats put forward a flawed candidate, and because of the dirty tactics (the race baiting and the riots), that Democrats employed during the 2016 election.

This flawed 2016 election strategy, is precisely what got Trump elected in 2016. And if Democrats continue to use the same playbook (deceit, division, and diversion), it will get Trump re-elected in 2020.

Democrats need to put down the shovel and stop digging their own grave. They need to give the American public a real choice ( a smart, ethical, authentic, and rational candidate), and real solutions.

And they need to jettison the extremists and the hacks within their party — whose only goal is to create distention and division — and whose whose extremist views are out of touch with mainstream America.

Absent that, Trump gets re-elected in 2020.

Democrats can win in 2020 with a good ticket and good ideas — but if all they have to offer is “Trump Sucks” — they lose — again.

People want honesty, authenticity, and solutions. They’ve had enough lies, frauds, and stupidity.

Give the people what they want and deserve — or get out of the way.

Right now, Democrats (aka “The Resistance”), are the only real “obstructionists”.
