How to get Trump re-elected in 2020 — A page from the Democrat play book.

One really has to wonder, is Trump still contributing to Schumer’s campaigns? If not, why are Democrats still helping to get Trump elected?

A recent poll found that a majority of voters in each of six battleground states (Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin) oppose impeaching and removing Trump. See, N.Y. Times Upshot/Siena College poll.

If this holds, Democrat leadership, the same clowns who’s race baiting politics, and the ensuing riots, gave us Trump in 2016, will have handed themselves another defeat in 2020. Nice work guys. For those of us who would like to see Trump go, your performance is beyond disappointing.

Unfortunately, the “Boys Who Cried Wolf”, over “Russian Collusion”, aka the “Resistance”, can’t seem to get out of their own way. After spending $40 million chasing phantom conspiracy theories, they now want to pull the country down an impeachment rabbit hole less than a year before the 2020 election. Wow! Just reread that last sentence, and if you don’t see the obvious stupidity in that approach, then by all means keep reading, but it probably won’t help.

Here’s an idea, maybe if the “investigation” began with a vote of the House, wasn’t being conducted behind closed doors, and wasn’t being conducted by a partisan hack, who does ethically challenged skits in committee, people would actually care. But that ship has sailed.

Here’s an even better idea that still actionable. What if one of the leading Democrats running for POTUS had enough courage to come out and say something simple like this:

“What President Trump did on his call with the Ukrainian President was fundamentally wrong. It was an abuse of power, which could rightfully be considered a “high crime”, and give rise to Articles of Impeachment. Unfortunately, Republicans, who control the Senate will never vote to remove President Trump. So you, the American people must do that. And I have every confidence that you will — in less than one year. Therefore, I am calling for an end to the Impeachment inquiry and a return to focusing on the nation’s business. President Trump is a divisive force and so too is the act of impeachment. And the country needs neither today. What the country needs is leadership and unity — and that’s what I intend to offer you. I will meet President Trump in the 2020 election and I will offer unity and progress, in place of division and distraction. It will then be your choice which direction the country takes. And I have every confidence in the ability of the American people to make the right choice.”

I can tell you this much. Any Democratic who gave that speech would have my vote.
